Dresden Bloom Cushion
Join Bethany Rose for a creative Dresden Bloom Cushion Workshop and learn how to make this beautiful quilted cushion featuring the classic Dresden block.
In this hands-on workshop, you’ll be guided step by step through creating your own Dresden design, from cutting and arranging fabric petals to piecing, pressing and assembling your cushion front. You’ll learn essential patchwork skills including accurate cutting, consistent seam allowances, pressing techniques and how to achieve neat points and smooth curves.
You’ll also explore fabric placement, colour balance and pattern mixing to create a design that feels uniquely yours, whether you prefer soft coordinated tones or bold statement prints.
Perfect for confident beginners and beyond, this workshop offers a relaxed and supportive environment where you can build your quilting skills while creating a beautiful handmade cushion to treasure in your home.
By the end of the workshop, you’ll leave with a completed or near-completed cushion and the confidence to recreate the Dresden block in future quilting projects.
