Join Bethany Rose for a creative Quilted Book Cover Workshop and make your own beautiful handmade quilted cover, perfect for protecting your favourite notebook, journal, or sketchbook.
In this hands-on workshop, you’ll learn how to piece, quilt, and construct a practical yet stylish book cover while building confidence with essential sewing and quilting techniques. Bethany will guide you step by step through cutting, layering, quilting, and assembly, helping you achieve neat construction and a professional finish.
You’ll also explore fabric placement, colour combinations, and decorative details to create a book cover that feels uniquely yours, whether you prefer soft coordinated prints, vintage florals, or bold statement fabrics.
By the end of the workshop, you’ll leave with a completed or near-completed quilted book cover and the confidence to continue creating handmade quilted accessories at home.
Please bring your own book, notebook, journal, or sketchbook to use for your cover. Please note that spiral-bound books are not suitable for this style of book cover.
If you do not have a book to bring, we have cute little 4x4 inch sketchbook-style books available to use during the workshop.
During the workshop, Bethany Rose will show you how to accurately measure your book and use a simple formula to create a perfectly fitting quilted book cover.

A fabric kit is available for £10, or you are welcome to bring your own fabric (requirements will be included in your booking confirmation email).

This workshop runs on Wednesday afternoons from 2PM–5PM. Please arrive 10–15 minutes early to get settled in.
