Art Journal Flip

In this video, I’m sharing a flip-through of my art journal from a time when I was poorly. It’s a glimpse into my creativity before I found quilting, and a reminder of how making art supported me through a difficult chapter of my life.

This journal holds a lot of emotion, experimentation, and honesty. Creating during that time helped me process things when words felt hard to find, and I’m really grateful I still had creativity even when everything else felt heavy.

If you’d like to see more of my older artwork, art journals, or creative projects from before quilting became my main focus, let me know in the comments.

Thank you for being here and for watching.

Trigger warning: This video discusses past illness and mental health struggles. Please take care while reading and engage only if it feels right for you.

This is Kristi’s class where I got the instructions to make the journal. (click here)

This is a link to Little Rainbow Moon, where Jo makes all the handmade watercolours I used in this journal. (Not all the watercolours were from her, some were from Daniel Smith or Schmincke etc. (click here)
