Experimenting with Improv Piecing

Hello Lovely Quilting Friends,

This week, I had a lot of fun playing with improv piecing, it really is so much fun! I encourage you to give it a go!

I share a new book I bought on Improv Piecing, called FreeHand Curve Quilts: Improv Techniques for Creative Play & Bold Expression by Cindy Grisdela.

I had a really good time looking through the book and reading all the different techniques. It's my new favourite thing!

I can't wait to make more improv blocks and eventually a whole improv pieced quilt! That will be fun!

I hope you give improv piecing a try! It's really so much fun and a lot easier than you may think!

There's a freedom to it as you can you just cut and sew and there are NO rules!

As you know from last week's blog, we now have a shop for all your Quilt Room Essentials and it is called 'Quilt Room Essentials' if there is anything specific you would like to see in the shop by replying to this email and I will try my very best to get it for you!

I'm aiming to get it all put up onto our website in a couple of weeks, sorry that it's taking longer than I planned but my personal life has hit me hard recently and I think it's gonna be a while till I'm back to normal. ALL workshops are still going on as planned!

Please don't worry about that. I am okay and I will be okay, I'm just taking things slowly for a little bit.
