Tangled Quilt

Hello lovely quilting people!

This week, I’m making another whole quilt top from start to finish.

Can you imagine quilting all those little 16-patch pieces?

Come along as I make a colourful Tangled baby quilt by Cluck Cluck Sew and start dreaming about how I’m going to quilt it!

In this video, I’m piecing the Tangled Quilt by Cluck Cluck Sew, using 16-patch blocks and a scrappy mix of 8 different colours. Each block is made using a different colour, with the background fabric creating those gorgeous big plus signs throughout the quilt.

I absolutely LOVE how this baby quilt has come together, and I already can’t wait to get it quilted!

For the quilting, I’m thinking about stitching in the ditch around the coloured pieces and then quilting the background really densely. I think keeping the colourful sections relatively simple while adding lots of dense quilting to the background could create some gorgeous different textures, which would be perfect for a baby quilt.

I think this is going to be SO much fun to quilt, but what do you think? How would you quilt this baby quilt? I’d love to hear your ideas, so let me know in the comments!

This is a quilting process video rather than a step-by-step tutorial, so grab yourself a big cup of tea and enjoy some patchwork and sewing time with me.
