Let’s Make An Improv Flying Geese Zipper Pouch | Part TWO

This week, I finished the zipper pouch!

I followed a tutorial from Jan Howell, I was only going to use it to make the zipper tabs as I wasn't happy with how mine look normally but I ended up watching the whole like like 6 times and make extensive notes too!

It's a little bit tricky but looks really cool! I think that it would be fun to try this out with more plain fabric first as I did end up losing quite a lot of my flying geese which is more than slightly annoying! However, I do like how it looks and it does fit my camera equipment in with room to spare!

In next week’s Quilted Zipper Pouch workshop, we are actually going to be making these in person (not this pattern, just a normal flat one with the improv flying geese) so if you would like to join in the fun, please click here and book! We'll probably rotate different designs in each class, so if this is something your interested in making, please let me know at time of booking!

As you know from previous blog posts, we now have a shop for all your Quilt Room Essentials and it is called 'Quilt Room Essentials' if there is anything specific you would like to see in the shop by replying to this email and I will try my very best to get it for you!

I've finally got the online shop sorted out! You can visit and shop online with us here!

Please join us for our Summer Open Day on Saturday 13th June 2026 from 10-9!

On the day you can book in for any of our Summer Workshops and see what you will actually be making in the classes, there will also be an activity that you can do while you are there, to be revealed soon!
