This week’s Studio Vlog is a little different as I take you along on a road trip with my Dad to drop off and collect my sewing machine from Barnyarns near Ripon in Yorkshire.

Once we get back to the studio, we finally tackle building my design wall. I talk you through what you’ll need whether you have a stud/plasterboard wall like me or a 'proper' brick wall, so hopefully it gives you a good starting point if you’ve been thinking about making one yourself.

I was actually surprised by how quick it was to put together, it only took us around an hour. The longest part was lining up the design wall flannel grid properly, which definitely tested our patience a little but we got there in the end. We'll do it again when I get more flannel, so that it's fully covered.

I’ve wanted a proper design wall in the studio for ages, so I’m really excited to finally have one! It's about 8 foot square!
